I still find it intensely difficult to make work about my lifelong religious programming, and I challenged myself to address those feelings head-on with this video. It feels good to make something solo and ultra-personal. I was also happy to incorporate the home movie footage from my childhood, because I think about it all the time. Allah'u'abha x 95.
